The Light's Still On

Director's Shotlist · Seedance 2.0 · ~60s, 4 scenes
A shop owner closes up worried about a broken website. She calls. A person answers on the first ring — not a queue, not a bot. He builds through the night. At dawn her new site is live and she opens her doors. The whole film is proof of one real Vivere line: "when you call, I answer." First live-action / photoreal piece in the showcase slate — everything else built so far is screen-capture or motion graphics.
Render status: blocked, not started. Stage 3 (and Stage 1 asset sheets) run on the Higgsfield MCP, which needs an interactive OAuth login this session cannot perform. Nothing below has been rendered. Once Higgsfield is authorized, Stage 1 character/location sheets get generated and shown for approval before any video credits are spent, per the vivere-ai-ads skill's own rule. Full worksheet: WORKSHEET.md in this same folder — including an open question on whether the founder should be a real likeness (needs a photo of Joseph) or stay silhouette/hands-only as scripted below.

Global Style Prefix (applied to every prompt)
Style: 8K IMAX. Photorealistic — no 3D render, no game engine.
Lighting: Natural and practical light only — window light, desk lamp, streetlight, golden-hour warmth at dusk and dawn, deep blue-black at night. No artificial studio lighting.
Color: 60:30:10 — deep navy-black dominant, warm amber practicals secondary, one cool teal accent (a monitor glow, a sign edge) as the accent. Brand color worked in honestly through real light sources, never pasted on.
Camera: Physical cine lens. 180° shutter motion blur. Locked-off or slow motivated moves — restraint over spectacle.
Skin: Pore-level realism — vellus hair, asymmetric moles, capillary flush, pore-shadow matching on-set light.
Acting: Hollywood — micro-pauses before reactions, precise eye-line, living eyes with catch-lights, chest rise from breathing. Characters never just standing, always reacting — but restrained, not big.
Physics: Gravity and inertia respected — mass has real weight, correct contact shadows. No floating props.
Composition: Rule of thirds + golden ratio.
Continuity: Characters, props, environment identical across every cut. No identity drift.
Technical: 24fps smooth motion. 8K detail. No jitter.
Audio: Environmental SFX only — footsteps, keys, a single phone ring, keyboard clicks, distant small-town ambience. No music. No subtitles.
Scene 1
Closing Time — the owner locks up, sees her broken website, decides to call.

Characters:
OWNER — woman, mid-40s, warm brown skin, dark hair pulled back in a loose bun with a few loose strands, soft laugh-lines but visibly tired eyes tonight, wearing a faded burgundy cardigan over a plain white blouse, sleeves pushed up, a thin wedding band her only jewelry, flat comfortable shoes.

Scene:
A small Main-Street storefront at dusk, warm brick facade, string lights just flickering on above the door, a hand-painted wooden OPEN/CLOSED sign hanging inside the glass door on a short cord. The owner stands just inside the threshold, key ring in her right hand, phone in her left, about to lock up for the night. The street behind her is quiet, one or two parked cars, streetlights just beginning to warm on.

CUT 1 — Wide static, 35mm, eye-level, locked off:
The owner reaches up and flips the hanging sign from OPEN to CLOSED, the wooden clack audible. She glances down at the phone in her other hand — the screen shows a generic, cluttered template website, her business name in a mismatched font, one broken image icon where a product photo should be.

CUT 2 — Close insert, 85mm, static, shallow depth of field:
Her thumb scrolls once. Brow furrows almost imperceptibly. A single slow exhale through the nose — not dramatic, just tired.

CUT 3 — Medium, 50mm, slow push-in from waist height:
She looks up from the phone, out through the glass door at the darkening street. She turns the key in the lock, the deadbolt sound clean and final. A beat. Then she unlocks her phone again and opens her contacts — a small, deliberate decision crossing her face.
Scene 2
The Call — she dials; the founder answers on the first ring, himself.

Characters:
OWNER — carried forward from Scene 1: same burgundy cardigan and white blouse, hair in the same loose bun, now standing on the sidewalk just outside her locked shop, phone raised to her ear.
FOUNDER — man, late 30s, medium build, dark brown hair a little overgrown, a day's stubble, plain heather-grey button-down with sleeves rolled to the forearm, no jewelry. Seen ONLY from behind, three-quarter-behind, or in hands/desk framing this scene — his face is never shown in a tight close-up.

Scene:
Two locations, cut together. The sidewalk outside the owner's shop, streetlights just on. Across town, a small home-studio office at night — a desk pushed against a window, one warm amber desk lamp lit, a laptop open showing a code editor with teal syntax highlighting, a phone resting on the desk beside the keyboard.

CUT 1 — Medium on owner, 50mm, static, sidewalk under a streetlamp:
Phone at her ear, it rings once — audible through the earpiece and faintly aloud. Her shoulders are tight, weight shifted onto one foot, waiting.

CUT 2 — Over-the-shoulder from behind the founder at his desk, 35mm, static, backlit by the window's blue-black night:
The phone on the desk lights up and rings once. His hand enters frame from the right and picks it up before the second ring finishes. "Vivere, this is Joseph." No hesitation, no hold music, no transfer — spoken plainly, already reaching for a pen.

CUT 3 — Back on owner, medium, 50mm, static:
Her shoulders visibly drop half an inch. A real, small, relieved breath. She shifts the phone slightly and begins to explain, her free hand gesturing once as she talks.
Scene 3
Overnight — the build, hands and lamp-light, night giving way to first light.

Characters:
FOUNDER — carried forward from Scene 2: same grey button-down, sleeves rolled, stubble unchanged. Shot from behind, three-quarter-behind, or hands/desk framing only — face not shown in close-up.

Scene:
The same home-studio desk from Scene 2, now deep night. The amber desk lamp is the only light source in the room. Behind him, the window shows the street outside — a few lit windows in other buildings, going dark one by one as the night deepens, then the faintest shift toward blue as dawn approaches by the end of the cut.

CUT 1 — Close insert on hands, 85mm, static, shallow depth of field, lamp-lit from camera-left:
Hands on the keyboard, steady and unhurried, not frantic. On the monitor beside them, code scrolls softly out of focus — teal syntax highlighting the only sharp color note in the frame.

CUT 2 — Medium from behind, 50mm, static:
He leans back in the chair, exhales, rubs his eyes once with thumb and forefinger. Reaches for a plain ceramic mug at the desk's edge, takes one slow sip, sets it back down with a soft clink. Leans back in toward the keyboard.

CUT 3 — Through the window past his silhouette, 35mm, static, held:
The sky outside shifts from black to the faintest deep blue at the horizon. A streetlamp down the block flickers off as dawn nears. He is still at the keyboard, unbothered by the hour, the amber lamp now slightly dimmer against the growing outside light.
Scene 4
Open — dawn, the finished site, the doors open for the day.

Audio: Environmental SFX only — footsteps, keys, a single phone ring, keyboard clicks, distant small-town ambience. No music. No subtitles.

Characters:
OWNER — carried forward from Scenes 1–2: same burgundy cardigan and white blouse, hair in the same loose bun, now standing at her own shop's door in first morning light.

Scene:
Dawn, the same storefront from Scene 1, now lit gold with early sun. The street is beginning to wake — a car passing slowly in the background, a distant shop awning unrolling somewhere down the block. The same hand-painted OPEN/CLOSED sign hangs inside the glass door.

CUT 1 — Close insert on her phone, 85mm, static, shallow depth of field, warm morning light from camera-right:
The screen lights up with a clean, finished website — legible, warm, unmistakably hers, nothing broken, no mismatched fonts. Her thumb hovers, not scrolling, just looking.

CUT 2 — Medium on her face, 50mm, static, golden backlight through the glass door behind her:
A real, close-mouthed smile — not triumphant, just steady relief. One slow exhale.

CUT 3 — Wide, 35mm, slow push-in from doorway height:
She reaches up and flips the hanging sign from CLOSED to OPEN, the same wooden clack from Scene 1 now in daylight. Morning light floods the glass; for a beat, both her reflection and the waking street behind her are visible in the pane before the shot holds.
Post-production text card (not a Seedance cut): Vivere wordmark, centered, over a soft-focus hold on the glass door reflection from the last frame of Cut 3. Line beneath: "Own the codebase. Don't rent a template." — vivereweb.com
